Chapter 01
Not every chip needs a new windshield
A rock kicked up on the highway does not always mean a new windshield. Most of the damage we see on Fremont windshields falls into three shapes: a star break, where cracks radiate out from a single point of impact; a bullseye, a clean circular ring left by a rock hitting square on; and a combination break, which mixes both patterns in one spot. Those three are the chips our technicians fill every day, and the sooner we see one, the better the odds it stays a repair.
A long crack is the fourth shape on the chart painted on our van doors, and it is the one that needs a technician's eyes before anyone promises anything. Free with most insurance
Most insurance carriers waive the deductible entirely on a windshield chip repair, because paying a technician to fill a chip costs the insurer far less than paying for a full windshield replacement later. In practice that means most of our repair customers pay nothing out of pocket.
Our technicians handle the insurance paperwork themselves so you do not have to sit on hold with your carrier. Chapter 03
Twenty minutes, wherever you are
You do not need to carve out an afternoon or sit in a shop waiting room. Our mobile repair team drives out to your house in Fremont or your workplace in Columbus and does the repair right there, in your driveway or parking lot, in as little as 20 minutes.
That is deliberate. A chip left alone for a week of hot afternoons and cold mornings is a chip that is more likely to spread into a long crack. Getting a technician to your car fast, instead of asking you to come to us, is part of why repair works as well as it does.
Why we fix it instead of replacing it
We repair windshields most other shops would rather replace, because replacing you out of a small chip is good for nobody but the shop. Repairing your windshield keeps the factory seal intact and is the most cost effective way to avoid a costly replacement down the road.
